Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Care Assistant to join the reablement team in Essex Cares. You will help customers relearn daily skills so they can remain in their own homes, providing support with personal care, mobility and meal preparation.

Training is provided, with a mentor accompanying you early in the role. This position requires a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle for travel across South Essex.

• Own vehicle with business insurance.

Job description

This Care Assistant role sits in the reablement team at Essex Cares, where staff help customers relearn everyday skills so they can keep living in their own homes. The work covers personal care, mobility and preparing meals, delivered in clients' homes across the community. No prior experience is needed, as training comes first and a mentor works alongside new staff, on early or late shifts with every other weekend worked. Own vehicle and full licence needed; direct applications needing visa sponsorship are not accepted.
