Job summary

Arnold Clark is seeking skilled mechanics to safely prepare our customers’ cars for the road ahead. You’ll work across a broad range of manufacturers, diagnose issues with modern diagnostic equipment, and take pride in delivering high‑quality, road‑worthy vehicles in a collaborative team setting.

We offer a salary of £40,000–£50,000 DOE plus benefits, overtime paid at time and a half, 33 days annual leave, EV accredited technician training, private healthcare, and generous employee discounts,

Qualifications

• Essential Skills include a Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance certificate and solid automotive experience.
• Ability to work independently or in a busy team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and spoken instructions.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Diagnosing issues using computer-based diagnostic equipment.
• Repairing or replacing faulty parts as needed.
• Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road testing vehicles after repairs to verify quality.
• Maintaining and checking tools and equipment.
