Job summary

Arnold Clark in Kilmarnock is seeking a qualified Mechanic to prepare vehicles to road standard. You’ll service and repair across a wide range of manufacturers, using diagnostic tools and DVSA testing where authorised.

Qualifications

• A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to maintain high standards and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to follow written and spoken instructions.
• DVSA testing experience is a plus if authorised.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and components; diagnose issues with diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace faulty parts as needed.
• Perform DVSA vehicle testing where authorised.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and quality of work.
• Maintain tools and keep equipment in good condition.
