Job summary

Arnold Clark Group in Wolverhampton is seeking a mechanic to safely prepare customers' cars and perform servicing and repairs. You will work with a range of manufacturers, using diagnostic equipment and maintaining high standards of workmanship.

The role offers a strong benefits package including salary up to £50k DOE, overtime paid at time and a half, generous holiday, private healthcare and maternity/paternity packages, plus EV accredited training and discounts.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid automotive experience.
• Ability to work efficiently on your own or as part of a busy team.
• Strong communication and attention to detail, with ability to meet deadlines.
• Full driving licence and proactive, enthusiastic approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts and perform DVSA testing if authorised.
• Road test vehicles after repairs and maintain tools and equipment.
• Follow checklists and complete all required documentation.
