Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking a skilled mechanic to prepare customers' cars for the road, working across a wide range of manufacturers. You’ll be part of a motivated team, ensuring meticulous workmanship and high standards, with ongoing training and career development opportunities.

The role offers a salary of £40,000–£50,000 DOE, overtime paid at time and a half, flexible hours, health care, and 33 days annual leave with room to grow. Training provided to become an EV accredited Technician.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and solid work experience in automotive industry.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Diagnosing issues using diagnostic equipment and testing components.
• Repairing or replacing defective parts as needed.
• Carrying out DVSA vehicle testing (if authorised).
• Road testing vehicles to verify repairs.
