Job summary

Arnold Clark Ayr is seeking a skilled automotive mechanic to safely prepare customers' cars for the road, performing servicing and repairs with pride. You will work in a capable, motivated team and gain exposure to a wide range of manufacturers and models, staying up to date with the latest vehicle technology.

The role offers £40,000 – £50,000 DOE plus benefits, overtime at time and a half, 33 days annual leave, EV accreditation training, salary reviews, and private healthcare.

Qualifications

• Required Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 certificate and relevant automotive experience.
• Ability to work alone or in a busy team while maintaining high standards.
• Strong communication and attention to detail essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Diagnose issues using computer-based diagnostic equipment.
• Repair or replace defective parts and perform DVSA testing if authorised.
• Road test vehicles after repairs and ensure documentation is complete.
• Maintain tools and equipment and follow checklists.
