Responsibilities

• Estimator position dealing with a range of roofing services across industrial, commercial and residential sectors such as flat roofing, pithed roofing, metal & zinc roofing, lead roofing, green roofs and roof repairs.
• Reviewing tender enquiries to gain an understanding of project requirements.
• Liaising with clients to acquire any additional information required.
• Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain competitive prices.
• Producing formal quotations to clients.
• Keeping good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database.
• Building and maintaining relationships with contractors and vendors.
• Prioritising workload to ensure deadlines are met.
• Estimating for projects ranging in value up to circa £1m.

Requirements

• Must have estimating experience within the roofing market sector.
• Experienced in any of the following: flat roofing, pithed roofing, metal & zinc roofing, lead roofing, green roofs and roof repairs.
• Sound understanding of roofing and building legislation.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong numerical skills.
• IT literate (Microsoft Office, particularly savvy in Excel).
• Confident and articulate individual.
