Job summary

A leading company in modular construction is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their Rental Division. The role involves preparing tenders and cost plans for various projects. This position offers a salary between £45,000 and £55,000, along with 25 days of holiday and a hybrid working arrangement.

Estimator – Modular Construction (Rental Division)

Location: Brandesburton | Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days home

Salary: £45,000–£55,000 + excellent benefits

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading company in the modular construction sector, who are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their Rental Division. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a forward‑thinking business, supporting their pre‑construction team by preparing accurate tenders, quotations, and cost plans for a variety of modular projects. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Pre‑Construction and play a key role in delivering competitive proposals and supporting client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate quantity take‑offs, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather and validate pricing and technical information.
• Prepare detailed contractor proposals based on designs and client briefs.
• Support the pre‑construction and sales teams to develop competitive bids.
• Manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Candidate Profile

• HNC/HND or degree in Construction (preferred).
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar estimating role, ideally in design‑and‑build, main contracting, or modular.
• Strong numerical and commercial skills, with proficiency in MS Office and estimating software.
• Knowledge of JCT Design & Build and NEC3 contracts advantageous.
• Ability to interpret drawings, schedules, and specifications.

Package & Benefits

• Salary: £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience.
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
• Working hours: Mon–Thurs 8:30am–5:00pm, Fri 8:30am–4:30pm.
• Hybrid working: 3 days office‑based / 2 days home‑based.
