Job summary

Agincare is seeking an Estates Project Manager to lead refurbishment, redevelopment, extension and construction across our property portfolio. This field-based role requires managing multiple sites, coordinating contractors and consultants, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Based with one day per week at our Portland, Dorset head office, the role involves regular travel across the South West, South East, Midlands and Yorkshire regions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing refurbishment, redevelopment or capital projects.
• Strong understanding of contractor management, procurement processes and commercial negotiations.
• Experience managing multiple projects across varied property portfolios.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Manage refurbishment, redevelopment, extension and construction projects from inception through to completion.
• Prepare feasibility studies, project specifications, client briefs, design briefs and tender documentation.
• Coordinate and oversee contractors, subcontractors, designers and professional consultants.
• Manage projects through all stages including feasibility, budgeting, procurement, delivery, commissioning, handover and final account agreement.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within approved budgets and to agreed quality standards.
• Lead Planning, Building Control and local authority approval processes.
• Monitor project programmes, risks, budgets and change control processes.
• Conduct regular site visits, progress meetings and quality inspections across multiple locations.
• Hold contractors accountable for delivery standards, quality and value for money.
• Ensure all works comply with relevant legislation, including Health & Safety, CDM Regulations, Fire Safety requirements, Building Regulations and Planning legislation.
• Minimise disruption within live operational environments and maintain safe working practices for residents, children, families, colleagues and visitors.
• Provide clear progress, financial and risk updates to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure all project documentation, certifications, warranties, compliance records and operation & maintenance manuals are received and properly handed over at project completion.
