Job summary

Principal People are recruiting for an Estates Manager to join an established organisation responsible for a portfolio of education sites across Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Chichester and Bognor Regis.

The role involves building condition surveys, maintenance prioritisation, and managing repair, refurbishment and capital projects from inception to completion, across both historic and modern buildings, with a focus on delivering projects for children’s education.

Qualifications

• Experience across estates management, building surveying or property maintenance.
• Understanding of CDM and construction-related compliance.
• Role focuses on estates, buildings and project delivery, not Health & Safety advising.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking building and condition surveys and prioritising maintenance.
• Managing multiple repair, refurbishment and capital projects simultaneously.
• Developing scopes, obtaining quotations and coordinating contractors.
• Monitoring costs, quality, timescales and delivery against objectives.
