West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 4 Mechanical Craftsperson for Estates at Watford General Hospital. The role is permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with flexible working and on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship or NVQ2+ in Mechanical/Plumbing Engineering.
• BTEC ONC or equivalent training/experience in mechanical/plumbing.
• Evidence of working on own initiative in estate/mechanical services.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose and repair faults on complex mechanical services and equipment.
• Carry out statutory inspections and testing on mechanical systems.
• Work on heating, ventilation and plumbing installations and maintain plant safety.
• Support on-call rosters and emergency responses as required.
• Liaise with other trades and contractors to complete tasks.

Formation

Recognised time served apprenticeship in Mechanical/Plumbing Engineering or City & Guilds / NVQ2 & above

BTEC ONC in Engineering

NVQ level 2 or above in Mechanical/Plumbing
