Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 3 Estates Mechanical role at John Radcliffe Hospital. The post covers 37.5 hours per week with permanent status and offers RRP, overtime and on-call allowances.

You will support mechanical trades operations and oversee planned engineering/building maintenance to meet NHS standards. The job requires HTM/HBN knowledge and a full driving licence; a competitive salary (£24,937–£26,598 pro rata) and strong pension benefits are

Qualifications

• NC/HNC/HND in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Full Driving Licence
• Trained in Health & Safety (First Aid, NEBOSH, IOSH, etc)
• Experience across HTM/HBN and estates legislation

Responsibilities

• To work in accordance with HTMs, HBNs, Model Specifications and relevant regulations
• Participate in labour control scheme and complete time sheets and dockets
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance on heating, ventilation and medical gas systems
• Prioritise workloads and respond to work requests with Estates Operations Manager
• Assist other trades and work in challenging environments including mortuary and wards
