Job summary

Inspire Education Group Stamford is seeking an Estates Officer (Caretaker) to maintain safe, welcoming college environments. The role covers security, maintenance, cleaning and facilities tasks, with both team and independent work.

You should have practical maintenance experience, health and safety awareness, a clean driving licence and IT skills. The position offers 37 hours per week on a rota, permanent contract and a salary of £25,043 per annum.

Qualifications

• Practical maintenance experience and a can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of health and safety principles in a college environment.
• IT literate with ability to use MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide security of college premises including opening/closing and key-holding.
• Respond to alarms, incidents and emergencies as required.
• Carry out routine maintenance on buildings, fixtures, fittings, plant and equipment.
• Undertake general maintenance across trades (plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, grounds).
• Ensure grounds and access routes are safe; assist with waste, cleaning and environmental standards.
• Move furniture and equipment; support porterage duties.
• Drive college vehicles when required.
• Collaborate with staff, contractors and emergency services to deliver Estates services.
• Support college events and open evenings as needed.
