Job summary

RNN Group seeking a Caretaker and Estates Operative at Dearne Valley College, Rotherham. Full-time, 37 hours per week, year-round, on a shift pattern covering mornings and afternoons. The role ensures buildings are accessible, secure and well maintained for staff, students and visitors.

You will join the Estates and Facilities Management Team, supporting safety, cleaning, event setup, and respond to emergencies. Benefits include pension and generous leave.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance/security/caretaking roles.
• Level 2 English and Maths or willingness to work towards them.

Responsibilities

• Participate in shift rota to ensure Estates presence when campuses are open and secure premises.
• Assist in keeping buildings and grounds clean by removing refuse and emptying bins.
• Promote health and safety by keeping corridors and fire exits clear of hazards.
