Job summary

Mott MacDonald is hiring an Environmental Consultant to lead environmental appraisals and EIA work across major infrastructure projects in the UK. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and deliver sustainability deliverables while aligning with client and regulatory requirements.

The role requires knowledge of UK EIA processes, chartership progress, and a flexible approach to travel with a hybrid working arrangement in the UK.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of EIA and UK legislation
• Experience with DCO schemes is beneficial
• Track record in project and construction environmental management
• Experience delivering large infrastructure projects with design teams
• Willingness to travel away from home base
• Ability to manage own work within a wider project team
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Strong IT skills
• Self-starting capabilities

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate projects from feasibility and environmental appraisal to full EIA as part of planning applications
• Support project teams, scoping, preparation and delivery of environmental appraisals and assessments
• Program EIA processes and manage environmental risk
• Coordinate environmental, social and sustainability specialists and lead production of deliverables
• Navigate client, stakeholder, regulator requirements and integrate sustainability into design
