Job summary

Mott MacDonald is recruiting an Environmental Consultant to join the Environmental and Sustainability Services team. You will lead multi-disciplinary projects, coordinating environmental assessments and delivering EIA deliverables for planning applications across regimes.

You will prepare environmental appraisals, manage EIA processes, and collaborate with engineers, planners, and sustainability specialists to integrate climate resilience and nature-based solutions into design.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of EIA and UK legislation; experience with DCO schemes beneficial.
• Proven track record in project and construction environmental management with design teams.
• Willingness to spend time away from home base as needed.
• Ability to manage own work while contributing to a wider project team.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate environmental projects from feasibility to EIA across planning regimes.
• Prepare and deliver environmental appraisals and assessments.
• Programme EIA processes and manage environmental risk.
• Coordinate environmental, social and sustainability specialists.
• Produce and lead environmental and sustainability deliverables.
