Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our Environmental and Sustainability Services team in the UK. You will lead EIA projects from feasibility to planning submissions, coordinating environmental assessments and delivering sustainability deliverables alongside engineers and planners.

You will work with a diverse client base across major infrastructure schemes, guiding juniors, managing workloads, and engaging with regulators to ensure compliant, place-based

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes.
• Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation and planning regimes.
• Chartered membership or equivalent professional recognition.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams on major infrastructure projects.
• Flexibility to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate environmental appraisals and EIA work.
• Prepare and deliver environmental and sustainability deliverables.
• Coordinate with engineers, planners and specialists.
• Manage junior staff and review team work.
• Engage with clients, regulators and stakeholders throughout projects.
