Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking an Environmental Consultant in the UK to lead EIA processes, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver environmental and sustainability deliverables across major infrastructure projects.

You will engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders, supporting place-based solutions and net-zero commitments while working in a hybrid setup across UK offices including Reading and London.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of EIA and UK legislation; experience on DCO schemes would be beneficial.
• Proven track record in project and construction environmental management.
• Ability to work with design teams to deliver large infrastructure projects.
• Flexible, able to spend time away from home base as needed.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Strong IT skills.
• Self-starting and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate projects from early-stage feasibility and environmental appraisal to full Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
• Support project teams, undertake scoping, preparation and delivery of environmental appraisals and assessments.
• Program environmental impact assessment processes and manage environmental risk.
• Coordinate environmental, social and sustainability specialists and lead deliverables.
• Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to integrate sustainability into design.
