Job summary

EDF Energy is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support environmental compliance across the design, construction, commissioning and operation of Hinkley Point C. This hybrid role requires you to attend the Aztec West office 3 days per week, with a starting salary of £55,000 per annum and the potential for an annual bonus.

You will provide specialist advice on surface water quality, pollution control and effluent management, working with multidisciplinary teams and regulators to maintain

Qualifications

• Surface water quality, pollution control and effluent management experience.
• Experience applying Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016.
• Advising on environmental aspects in complex infrastructure projects.
• Managing relationships with project teams, contractors and regulators.
• Degree in environmental or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Support the Conventional Environment Lead across environmental topics and project activities.
• Review environmental aspects of designs to maintain high environmental protection standards.
• Provide specialist advice on surface water quality, pollution control and effluent management.
• Support environmental permitting, consent and licence applications as required.
• Collaborate with HPC, EDF Group and regulators to drive environmental compliance.
