Job summary

EDF is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support the design, construction, commissioning and operation of Hinkley Point C. You will provide specialist advice on surface water quality, pollution control and effluent management while helping maintain high environmental standards across the project.

This hybrid role offers a starting salary of £55,000 per year with potential for an annual bonus. You will attend the AztecWest office 3 days per week, with flexibility to balance office and home

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental compliance for infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of Environmental Permitting Regulations (England and Wales) 2016.
• Experience advising within complex infrastructure or regulated environments.
• Ability to collaborate with project teams, contractors and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Support the Conventional Environment Lead across environmental topics and project activities.
• Review environmental aspects of designs to maintain high protection standards.
• Provide specialist advice on surface water quality, pollution control and effluent management.
• Support environmental permitting, consent and licence applications where required.
• Collaborate with HPC, EDF Group and regulators to drive environmental compliance.
