Zusammenfassung

Assystem is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to support the HPC commissioning programme at Hinkley Point. You will plan, deliver and review environmental compliance activities, provide guidance on non‑compliances and produce environmental performance reports.

You’ll work with safety, regulatory and delivery teams to minimise environmental impact while enabling project progress. This role offers hybrid working, exposure to a major nuclear project and collaboration with EDF Energy

Qualifikationen

• Excellent communication and ability to build networks within EDF.
• Experience with environmental compliance in regulated industries.
• Experience writing or reviewing environmental specs and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of UK environmental permitting, waste, groundwater, surface water, soil.
• Ability to present data clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with regulators (ONR/EA) interfaces.
• Construction environment experience.
• Experience with Water Framework Directive and Habitats Regulations.

Aufgaben

• Create, maintain and improve Environmental Safety controls to address risks across the Commissioning programme.
• Assist in monitoring, coordination and review of Environmental activities per HPC Safety Management System.
• Produce Environmental safety performance reports with trends and remedial actions.
• Engage with and influence HPC commissioning on Environmental issues/risks/Hazards.
• Support Regulatory Interfaces.
• Undertake and review risk-based assessments and environmental inspections.
• Provide assurance on compliance with legal duties.
• Be an active member of a community of HSE professionals across HPC.
