Job summary

EDF UK is seeking an Environmental Specialist to help shape one of the UK's major infrastructure projects. You will support environmental compliance across design, construction, commissioning and operation of Hinkley Point C, focusing on surface water quality, pollution control and effluent management.

The role is hybrid with a starting salary of £55,000 per annum and a potential annual bonus. You will be based primarily at the Aztec West office 3 days per week, with flexibility for home working

Qualifications

• Experience in surface water quality, pollution control, and effluent management.
• Knowledge of Environmental Permitting Regulations (England and Wales) 2016.
• Ability to provide environmental advice within complex infrastructure/regulatory environments.
• Experience working with project teams, contractors and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Support the Conventional Environment Lead across environmental topics and project activities.
• Review environmental aspects of designs to maintain high protection standards.
• Provide specialist advice on surface water quality, pollution control and effluent management.
• Support environmental permitting, consent and licence applications.
• Collaborate with HPC, EDF Group and regulators to drive environmental compliance.
