Job summary

Charnwood Borough Council is seeking an Environmental Services Team Leader to oversee the Environmental Services Contract, lead a small team, and drive service delivery across waste, street cleansing and recycling. The role requires supervisory experience and a UK driving licence.

Based in Charnwood Borough Council Offices, you will manage performance, guide residents on service use, and handle complaints with strong negotiation skills. Generous leave and pension are included.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental management with supervisory leadership.
• UK driving licence and access to vehicle.
• Strong customer service background to lead the team.
• Excellent organizational skills for annual service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management of the Environmental Services Contract and ensure contractual compliance.
• To supervise and monitor relevant contractors and in accordance with local performance indicators.
• To provide advice and guidance to our residents to ensure the most effective use of our services including waste, recycling and street cleansing.
• To deal with complaints and have excellent negotiation skills.
