Serco Limited in Mountsorrel is seeking a Contract Manager to lead the delivery of essential waste, recycling and street cleansing services across Charnwood. You will oversee operational performance, people leadership, financial accountability and continuous improvement to ensure safe and efficient community services.

The role requires extensive leadership experience, strong financial acumen, and a track record of stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading large operational teams in complex service delivery/contract management environments.
• Strong financial management skills with budgets and performance targets.
• Proven ability to build productive customer and stakeholder relationships and inspire trust.
• Experience leading change and continuous improvement programs.
• A management qualification, degree or equivalent leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall performance of the environmental services contract, ensuring safe, efficient delivery and compliance.
• Provide leadership to operational and supervisory teams, driving high performance and engagement.
• Take full accountability for financial performance, budgets, resources and commercial outcomes.
• Build relationships with local authorities, unions, partners and community representatives to support service delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and strategic development to meet future challenges and growth opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and legislative requirements.
