Job summary

Charnwood Borough Council is seeking a Contracts Officer (M214) to join the Environmental Services team in Loughborough. The role requires experience in waste management, environmental services and contract monitoring, plus a valid UK driving licence and strong organisational abilities.

Two posts are available: 37 hours per week (Full Time) and 29 hours per week (4 days), offering a permanent contract with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• Experience in waste management, environmental services and contract monitoring.
• A valid UK driving licence is required.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage workloads and queries via the Council’s CRM system.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor relevant contractors in accordance with local and key performance indicators.
• Effectively manage workloads, including service requests, enquiries and complaints, through the CRM system.
• Provide advice and guidance to residents to ensure effective use of waste, recycling and street cleansing services.
• Provide excellent customer service to resolve enquiries efficiently.
