Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Manchester is recruiting an experienced environmental professional to lead the coordination and delivery of environmental work within a multi-disciplinary team. You will drive EIA deliverables, support options appraisals and environmental management, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires a degree or master’s in environmental science, post-graduate consultancy experience (ideally Chartered), and a strong track record with major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or Masters in an environmental or science subject.
• Post-graduate experience in consultancy; ideally Chartered.
• Experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the EIA process.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordinating and delivering environmental work across multidisciplinary teams (EIA, options appraisals, environmental management).
• Line-manage a team of environmental professionals.
• Champion high environmental standards within projects and influence development.
• Collate and edit information from multiple sources for clear reports.
• Manage client needs confidently, on time and to budget.
• Lead bid preparation and develop new business areas for the team.
• Engage in CPD per professional institute requirements.
