Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Birmingham is seeking an experienced environmental professional to lead coordination and delivery of environmental work within a multidisciplinary team, including EIA and related deliverables. You will work closely with clients and colleagues to develop new areas of business and mentor others.

You will spearhead bid preparation, maintain high environmental standards, and support professional development in a fast-paced consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or Masters in environmental or science subject.
• Chartered and experience working on linear infrastructure projects would be beneficial.
• Post-graduate consultancy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the EIA process and relevant environmental specialisms.
• Leadership experience within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong report writing, verbal and presentation skills; ability to review others’ work.
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
• Good interpersonal skills and clear communication.
• Willingness to travel to other Atkins or client offices.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead on coordination and delivery of environmental work by multi-disciplinary teams (EIA, options appraisals, environmental management).
• Champion high environmental performance within engineering projects; influence development and outcomes.
• Collate and edit information from various sources into clear, well-written reports.
• Deliver own work to a high standard and review others’ work on time and within budget.
• Manage client needs confidently and professionally.
• Lead bid preparation and develop new business areas for the team.
• Pursue CPD per professional institute requirements.
