Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in London seeks an experienced Planning Lead to coordinate environmental and planning work across major infrastructure projects. You will lead bid responses, manage multidisciplinary delivery and mentor junior staff, interfacing with clients to grow the business.

The role emphasizes Chartered expertise, EIA knowledge and strategic planning across multiple geographies, with a hybrid working model and strong CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Planning degree and RTPI membership desirable.
• Chartered experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Lead TCPA applications with proven delivery.
• Lead roles in DCO, Hybrid Bill, Highways Act or TWAO.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the EIA process and environmental expertise.
• Experience in strategic planning and planning policy.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Act as Planning Lead on projects across a range of markets.
• Lead bid preparation, tender submissions and framework responses.
• Act as lead consultant for multi-disciplinary projects and manage delivery.
• Support junior colleagues and Planning team leaders.
• Collaborate with environmental, engineering and design teams across AtkinsRéalis.
• Engage with market and client leads to support growth.
• Coordinate environmental work including EIA and options appraisals.
• Support management with project commercial and resource planning.
• Maintain high standards of technical delivery and on-time, on-budget outputs.
• Draft clear, well-written reports from diverse sources.
• Manage client needs professionally.
• Pursue continual professional development (CPD).
