Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Birmingham seeks an experienced environmental professional to coordinate EIA projects across multi-disciplinary teams. You will lead on environmental work, mentor colleagues and manage client relationships, with opportunities to develop new business areas for the team.

The role requires a degree or MSc in environmental science, Chartered status, and post-graduate consultancy experience. A flexible, hybrid working arrangement is offered across AtkinsRéalis offices and client sites.

Qualifications

• Degree or Masters in an environmental or related discipline.
• Chartered status and experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Post-graduate experience, ideally in a consultancy environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the EIA process and environmental technical expertise.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills; ability to review others' work.
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
• Flexible, adaptable and willing to work from other AtkinsRéalis or client offices.

Responsibilities

• Leading on the coordination and delivery of environmental work by multi-disciplinary teams (EIA, options appraisals, environmental management).
• Line managing a team of environmental professionals.
• Champion high environmental standards within projects and influence development for optimal outcomes.
• Collate and edit information from diverse sources to produce clear reports.
• Undertake own work to a high standard and review colleagues’ work on time and to budget.
• Manage clients’ needs in a confident, professional manner.
• Lead bid preparation and develop new business areas for the team.
• Engage in CPD per requirements of the chosen professional institute.
