Job summary

The Economist Group is seeking an accomplished Enterprise Sales professional to drive net new logos and expand existing contracts across a London-based territory. You will leverage discovery to diagnose client needs, manage the full sales cycle, and collaborate with internal teams to close high-value deals.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in enterprise sales, strategic business development or account acquisition with a proven growth record.
  • Proven success winning new business contracts through cold calling.
  • Strong communication, presentation, listening, negotiation and closing skills.
  • Proven record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Accountability, positivity and integrity.
  • Dynamic self-starter with a solution-focused and creative approach.
  • Ability to present complex ideas and products simply.
  • Ability to identify client challenges and develop creative solutions with colleagues and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills, prioritization and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Nice to have: industry experience not required; sales skills valued over industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Sell net new logos across a territory of accounts, including Fortune 100 and 500 companies, by closing new business sales and growing existing contracts.
  • Use discovery skills to identify problems and connect them to relevant solutions.
  • Manage the full sales cycle and leverage sales support teams and internal resources as needed.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline through self-prospected cold calling and marketing leads.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, new growth ideas and contingency plans.
  • Meet required KPIs and ensure activity meets or exceeds EIU standards and expectations.
  • Improve product and industry knowledge while understanding client pain points to support prospects and colleagues.
  • Contribute to team and division objectives and achieve personal objectives set by the manager.
  • Collaborate proactively, positively and professionally with colleagues at all levels.
