Job summary

Decagon is seeking an Agent Deployment Engineer to deliver end-to-end AI agent builds for strategic customers. You will own the implementation, validate integrations, and ensure scalable, enterprise‑quality agents while interfacing with customers and internal teams.

You will collaborate with Agent PMs, Engineering, and GTM, translating requirements into build plans and driving delivery in fast-paced environments. Strong coding, APIs, and integration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a technical customer-facing role with delivery experience.
• Fluency in English and German (written and spoken) is required.
• Strong background writing code, working with APIs, and end-to-end integrations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with senior technical stakeholders and drive delivery.
• Comfort with fast-moving, ambiguous environments and shaping solutions as you implement them.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and execution of AI agent builds for enterprise customers, from scoping to production deployment.
• Design and engineer core agentic logic for reliable, correct agent behavior.
• Develop guardrails and supervisory controls for safe, compliant agent performance.
• Architect, build, and test integrations with customer systems (CRMs, data pipelines, ticketing).
• Interface with senior technical stakeholders to define success criteria and requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve failures via root-cause analysis of traces and logs.
• Design evaluation and regression testing frameworks for agent behavior.
• Translate customer needs into internal docs and drive platform improvements with Eng.
• Collaborate with PMs, Eng, Design, and GTM to deliver repeatable agent builds.
