Job summary

E-act The Oldham Academy North in Oldham is seeking an educator to provide high-quality one-to-one and small-group English tuition to improve student progress and attainment. You will plan targeted interventions, monitor progress, and adapt support to maximise outcomes.

Collaborating with English teachers and pastoral staff, you will help students prepare for internal assessments, GCSEs and other qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Degree in English or a related subject or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience supporting young people and delivering targeted interventions in education.
  • Strong knowledge of effective English teaching, learning and tutoring strategies.
  • Excellent communication, with the ability to explain concepts clearly to varied abilities.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students, building confidence and independent learning.

Pay & Benefits

Pay range: SCP12-17 - £25,982.89 - £28,185.21 - FTE: £29,542.00 - £32,046.00 - 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.
