Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking an English and Maths Tutor to support a Year 11 student in Nuneaton. Tuition will be delivered one-to-one at the student’s home, tailored to SEND needs and aligned with the English and Maths curriculum.

The role is long-term, 15 hours per week, with sessions designed to engage the student and help them progress toward academic goals in a supportive environment.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an alternative provision supporting a Year 11 student with SEND needs in Nuneaton. Tuition will take place within the student's home, providing a supportive environment where the student can engage with their education and work towards their academic goals.

The provision is looking to take on an English and Maths Tutor on a long-term basis for 15 hours of tuition per week. The successful English and Maths Tutor will provide one-to-one English and Maths support, adapting sessions to meet the student's individual SEND needs and helping them to remain engaged and make progress.

The successful English and Maths Tutor will have:

• Experience teaching or tutoring English and Maths at secondary level, ideally up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Experience supporting students with SEND needs
• Experience delivering one-to-one tuition or personalised learning
• Strong knowledge of the English and Maths curriculum
• The ability to adapt sessions to meet individual learning needs
• A patient, resilient and engaging approach
