Job summary

The University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre seeks an experienced Tutor to design, deliver and assess engineering apprenticeship units using active learning. You will provide academic and pastoral support, create learning materials, and deliver both in-class and online sessions to enhance retention and achievement.

You will contribute to curriculum development and open events, maintain high standards of attendance and punctuality, and work with the support team to identify learners needing

Qualifications

A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
Experience delivering engineering apprenticeships or similar vocational training.
Ability to plan, deliver and assess learning using active methods.
Experience with online/hybrid teaching platforms.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality teaching in engineering subjects using active learning strategies.
Develop and monitor learning plans and schemes of work.
Assess apprentices and provide constructive feedback.
Use Blackboard for online and hybrid teaching and track progress.
Support apprentices with learning needs and pastoral support.
