Job summary

University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre seeks a University Teacher to deliver degree apprenticeship programmes in manufacturing and engineering. You will develop curricula in Mould and Tooling Design, select teaching methods, write assessments, and provide high‑quality feedback as a module lead.

You will have proven teaching ability or relevant engineering experience, and you will engage students through active learning, collaborating with academic and industry partners to ensure excellent

Qualifications

• Honours degree (or equivalent) in manufacturing or engineering.
• PhD or EngD in a relevant subject area or significant vocational experience in engineering/manufacturing.
• Proven teaching ability or demonstrable experience in engineering context (educational or industrial).
• Experience designing, developing and delivering high-quality teaching resources.
• Experience managing students in teaching and assessment contexts with quality feedback.

Responsibilities

• Design teaching programmes with learning objectives and resources.
• Deliver teaching modules and provide academic advice and feedback.
• Supervise and assess student projects and dissertations.
• Design assessments, mark and moderate, liaise with external examiners.
