Job summary

The AMRC Training Centre at the University of Sheffield delivers high quality apprenticeships in engineering and manufacturing across the region, from advanced to degree apprenticeships. As a University Teacher, you will develop curricula in Mould and Tooling Design, select teaching methods and resources, and provide feedback as a module lead to ensure a high-quality educational experience.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in manufacturing or engineering (or equivalent).
• PhD or EngD in a relevant subject area or significant graduate level vocational experience.
• Proven teaching ability or relevant engineering context experience.
• Experience designing, developing and delivering high-quality teaching resources.
• Experience managing students in teaching and assessment with high-quality feedback.
• Ability to contribute to Sheffield Academic values and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Design teaching programmes with clear objectives and learning materials.
• Deliver teaching modules and provide academic guidance and feedback to apprentices.
• Supervise and assess student projects and dissertations.
• Create and mark assessments, moderate criteria, and liaise with external examiners.
• Participate in committees, policy development, and professional development activities.
• Plan and prioritise teaching and administrative tasks, supporting wider university goals.
