Job summary

A leading UK manufacturer of building products is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to maintain and improve high-speed automated machinery. In this fast-paced FMCG environment, you will perform both reactive and planned maintenance, fault-find complex automated equipment, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Job Role & Key Responsibilities

Maintain and improve the performance of high-speed automated machinery in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Carry out both reactive and planned electrical maintenance while contributing to continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform reactive and planned maintenance on production line machinery
  • Fault-find on complex automated equipment and electrical systems
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance, safety, and reduce waste
  • Support other engineering teams and external contractors as required
  • Attend training and maintain technical knowledge to ensure maximum effectiveness
Ideal Candidate Requirements
  • Recognised electrical engineering qualification
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-speed manufacturing environment (FMCG preferred)
  • Strong fault‑finding skills on automated and electrical machinery
