As an Engineering Shift Leader, you will oversee the engineering team's activities during your shift, ensuring efficient operations and maintenance of all production machinery. Your role will be pivotal in coordinating engineering priorities and troubleshooting any issues that arise, fostering a safe and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead the engineering team during the designated shift, ensuring all maintenance and repair tasks are carried out effectively.
  • Coordinate with the production team to schedule maintenance and quickly address equipment failures to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all engineering activities and promote a safety-first culture.
  • Diagnose faults in machinery and support team members in identifying root causes of issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory usage for reporting purposes.
  • Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for engineering processes and practices.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in an engineering role with supervisory or leadership responsibilities, ideally in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, with hands‑on troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and interact with other departments.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends as required.
