Job summary

Stripe is seeking a strategic engineering leader in London to guide the Money Management Team's technical direction and deliver high-impact products. You will mentor engineers, align with cross-functional partners, and drive end-to-end initiatives across backend, storage, payouts, yield, lending, and card issuing alike.

This role combines hands-on coding with scalable architecture, and inclusive, mentorship-driven leadership as Stripe expands globally.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years leading teams to ship high-quality products.
• 4+ years building user-facing products as a technical contributor.
• Experience designing backend services and full-stack experiences.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, think rigorously, communicate effectively, and make tough decisions and trade-offs.
• Thrive with autonomy and responsibility in ambiguous environments.
• Ability to drive architectural clarity with senior engineers on technical strategy.
• Foster an inclusive, challenging, and supportive work environment.
• Mentor and grow engineers across the team.

Responsibilities

• Enable the team to own end-to-end problems across systems, processes, and technologies.
• Collaborate with product, design, infrastructure, marketing and operations.
• Lead and manage processes to help the team do its best work and engage with Stripe-wide initiatives.
• Recruit engineers in collaboration with Stripe’s recruiting team.
• Develop engineers on the team to advance their careers.
• Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team.
