Job summary

Stripe is seeking fullstack software engineers to build scalable products from a 0→1 stage within the Direct Surfaces Team. You will lead technical projects, design and maintain UIs and related APIs, and collaborate across teams to deliver features that scale with business needs.

You should have 3+ years of industry experience, strong React and React Native skills, and a passion for exceptional user experiences.

The Direct Surfaces Team’s mission is to make it delightful for users to manage their money. We’re rebuilding and unbundling the core of Stripe so that no matter what the business, the location or use‑case there is a single place that can fulfil all financial needs: Stripe Treasury. What you’ll do

Full‑stack engineers at Stripe are comfortable working on new products under fluid conditions, seamlessly balancing tactical and strategic considerations.

Responsibilities

• Scope and lead technical projects, laying the groundwork for our products to iteratively evolve and scale
• Design, build, expand and maintain UIs their related APIs and services
• Work with our partners to design and launch new features and capabilities
• Align our technical decisions with Stripe’s broad strategic initiatives, while also advocating for needs specific to emerging new businesses
• Work with engineers across the company to understand when existing infrastructure can be leveraged vs. when building a bespoke solution is prudent
• Develop and execute against both short- and long‑term roadmaps. Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation

Who you are

• Have a strong technical background, including 3+ years of industry experience building high quality code and infrastructure
