Job summary

Cloudflare seeks an Engineering Manager for its Developer Observability Platform to lead a global, customer-obsessed team that ships measurable observability capabilities. You will partner with PMs and engineers to define vision, drive execution, and improve platform reliability.

The role emphasizes building scalable telemetry infrastructure, mentoring senior engineers, and delivering data-driven outcomes for our largest customers across distributed environments.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading teams that ship and operate complex, large-scale systems and data-driven applications (observability, developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, edge/proxy systems, or high-scale APIs).
• Demonstrated ability to hire, coach, and develop senior engineers and to build high-performing, inclusive teams that ship.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 4 years managing software engineering teams.
• Strong technical depth to guide architecture, review designs, and unblock the team; hands-on leadership with customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-velocity, customer-obsessed engineering team delivering an observability platform.
• Build and communicate the technical and product vision with PMs and engineers; chart what to build and when.
• Instrument and surface meaningful data; own SLOs, incidents, escalations, and technical debt to ensure reliability.
