Job summary

Cloudflare’s Infrastructure Team builds and runs the systems that power our global services. As a Senior Software Engineer in Deploy@Scale, you will provide technical leadership for a platform that enables safe, reliable, and automated deployments across Cloudflare.

You will define the platform, steer architecture across multiple streams, and influence dozens of engineering teams through RFCs, design reviews, and mentorship, with a focus on long-term safety and scalability.

Qualifications

8+ years in hands-on software engineering with distributed, production-critical systems.
Ability to influence technical direction across teams through architecture and platform APIs.
Experience driving RFCs, design reviews, and cross-team collaboration.
Comfort with AI-assisted development and evaluating when not to rely on AI in safety-critical systems.
Strong written and verbal communication to persuade and align stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Define and drive the platform that enables safe, reliable and automated deployments at scale.
Lead architectural decisions across multiple work streams and mentor engineers.
Collaborate with internal customers to turn workflows into platform capabilities.
Contribute to multi-quarter roadmaps and participate in incident retrospectives.
