Job summary

Myton Food Group is seeking an experienced Department Manager - Engineering to lead our engineering team in a fast-paced FMCG factory in the UK. You will plan maintenance, reduce downtime and drive reliability across all equipment assets.

Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you will manage large teams, coordinate priorities with maintenance and production, and uphold HACCP standards while delivering strong results.

Qualifications

• Experience in an engineering and fault-finding role in FMCG environments.
• Proven track record delivering results through a team in people-management.
• Good understanding of HACCP principles; IEE 17th edition wiring regs advantageous.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills to engage and develop large teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prioritise work to minimise downtime and maximise resources.
• Lead and support the asset care programme and improve equipment reliability.
• Coordinate maintenance priorities with the Maintenance team to avoid disruption.
• Facilities and property management, repairs, upkeep and general maintenance.
• Undertake Crisis Incident Management and investigations; enforce discipline.
• Ensure reliability of all equipment assets across the site.
