Job summary

Executive Network Group is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the maintenance team within a food manufacturing site in the UK. You will ensure safe, compliant operations and drive improvements across reliability and availability of main production lines.

You will manage budgets, coach the team, and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to achieve OEE targets and regulatory compliance. A strong engineering background and leadership presence are essential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a maintenance/engineering leadership position, ideally within Food manufacturing.
• Relevant qualifications in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Data driven with a continuous improvement mentality and CI tools.
• Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, HSE regulations and food safety engineering standards.
• Demonstrable success improving OEE and leading maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the maintenance team to deliver safe, reliable plant performance.
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve stability.
• Manage budget, resources, and contractor performance within approved levels.
• Implement and optimize CMMS usage, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Guide cross-functional projects ensuring timeliness, cost control and quality.
• Drive KPIs and report department performance to senior management.
