Job summary
Myton Food Group is hiring a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for our manufacturing site. You will maintain, repair and improve machinery to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency across FMCG production lines.
Reporting to the Site Engineering Manager, you will conduct preventive maintenance, respond to breakdowns, carry out machine adjustments, calibrate equipment, and keep records. A strong hands-on, proactive approach is essential.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical/electrical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in FMCG industry.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery (conveyors, motors, pumps, packaging).
- Proactive maintenance mindset to maximise equipment reliability.
- Ideally HACCP understanding; IEE 18th edition wiring regs advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
- Respond to machinery breakdowns, diagnose and repair or coordinate with specialists.
- Carry out machine adjustments and changeovers to support production efficiency.
- Monitor and calibrate equipment to meet quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with production teams for process improvements.
