Job summary

Myton Food Group is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for its manufacturing site. You will maintain, repair and improve machinery to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to maintenance. Training and safety standards are integral, with opportunities for development within the company.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 or equivalent in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Experience with FMCG machinery including conveyors, motors and pumps.
• Strong fault-finding and repair skills.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles; IEE 17th edition wiring advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns, diagnose and repair or coordinate with specialists.
• Carry out machine adjustments and changeovers to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Monitor calibration to ensure accuracy, quality and safety.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify process improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and spare parts inventory.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies.
• Stay updated with industry advancements relevant to the role.
