Job summary

TURNERFOX RECRUITMENT LTD is recruiting for a Document Controller based in Sutton-in-Ashfield. This fully office-based role involves overseeing technical documentation across engineering projects and ensuring information is accurate, up-to-date and delivered on time.

You will work closely with engineers, production and purchasing teams to maintain document control, support audit processes and facilitate smooth project handovers. A detail-oriented, proactive communicator is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Document Controller or similar role.
• Experience in engineering, manufacturing or technical environments would be beneficial.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating technical and project documentation from enquiry through to completion.
• Managing document revisions and ensuring teams use the latest information.
• Preparing project documentation for manufacturing, installation and customer handover.
• Maintaining electronic document management systems and organised filing structures.
• Producing customer documentation packs and uploading information to online portals.
• Supporting project teams to ensure documentation is completed within agreed timescales.
• Assisting with quality documentation and audit preparation.
• Collaborating across departments to keep project information accurate and compliant.
• Providing general administrative support to the wider engineering function.
