Job summary

Only FE is seeking a Skills Development Coach to join the Engineering team at Blackburn, responsible for guiding engineering apprentices from onboarding through the End Point Assessment (EPA). The role emphasizes coaching, assessment and strong employer engagement to shape learners' futures.

You will mentor learners, build relationships with regional employers, and promote high-quality apprenticeship experiences with a learner-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Qualification in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.
• Level 3 Engineering Qualification in a relevant subject area.
• Knowledge of engineering equipment, machinery and materials.
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
• The ability to motivate, support and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
• A learner-focused approach with a commitment to delivering an exceptional apprenticeship experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey, from onboarding through to End Point Assessment (EPA).
• Provide expert guidance, coaching, assessment and support, helping apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to succeed in their careers while building strong relationships with employers across the region.
