Job summary

MTrec Commercial, on behalf of an engineering client, seeks an experienced Customer Account Manager. You will drive growth, manage existing and new customers, and liaise between clients and internal teams to ensure opportunities are maximized and orders fulfilled.

The role emphasizes strong commercial acumen, stakeholder communication, and ability to travel as needed. This is a full-time, on-site position with immediate impact and development potential.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, marketing, or business development within engineering/technical environments.
• Strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Clear, effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Marketing skills to drive customer base growth.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage contracts.
• Proficiency in IT software and MS Office suite.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage efficient commercial procedures across the business.
• Lead product enquiries and manage all commercial aspects from receipt to response.
• Provide commercial insights, drive profitable growth and support long‑term goals.
• Act as the main customer interface on all commercial matters.
• Regularly assess account performance, identify growth opportunities, and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Procurement.
• Identify new business opportunities by monitoring market trends.
• Manage pricing structures to ensure profitability.
• Monitor sales margins and develop customer framework agreements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with a global customer base.
