Lloyds British, now part of Speedy Group, is seeking an Engineer - Inspection in Erith. The role involves lifting inspection, load testing, and related tasks in a full-time 39-hour week. The position offers full training and opportunities to work across a range of lifting equipment projects.

The successful candidate will join a market-leading team, with a strong emphasis on safety, accuracy and compliance. Driving licence and a practical engineering mindset are important.

Responsibilities

• carry out lifting inspection tasks to verify equipment safety and compliance.
• perform load testing and pull testing as part of inspection work.
• conduct occasional destructive testing as required by projects.
• manning the rigging loft and inspecting lifting accessories as needed.
• collaborate with the team to deliver accurate inspection services.

Hours - 39 Hours - Monday to Friday

An excellent opportunity has arisen in Lloyds British for a Lifting Inspection Engineerto join our team, thisis a full time position working 39 hours a week, salary to be discussed at interview stage. As well as Lifting Inspection work there is a plethora of other tasks including, but not limited to, load testing, pull testing, occasional destructive testing, manning the rigging loft and inspection of lifting accessories.

• LEEA
• Entry level Engineering, Mechanics NVQ/City & Guilds desirable but not essential
• Experience with working in a testing environment
• Have an eye for detail; good problem solving ability and a practical approach
• Good communicator with the ability to analyse and impart knowledge
• Full training will be given but experience of working within an engineering environment would be desirable
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver.
• Full UK drivers licence
